Clearly Creative Technique Class

As promised... here are the photos from my Clearly Creative class last weekend.  It was all about learning how to use Stampin' Up's products like window sheets, clear buttons, Crystal Effects, etc.

Here's the group shot:

 

The Medium Thickness Window Sheets (7mil) are great for shaker cards, cut outs, card bases and more.  Here I used it with a box made with our Big Shot and the Bag w/Scallops XL Bigz Die. 

 

Stamps:  Oval All

Inks:  Riding Hood Red

Cardstock:  Riding Hood Red, Taste of Textiles, Shimmer White

Accessories:  Window Sheets - medium, Wide Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Flower Trio Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Crop-o-Dile, Pretties Kit

The Thick Window Sheets (20 mil) are so strong and work great for boxes.  Here I used it for just the lid of the Matchbox XL Bigz Die, but it would be great with the Pillow Box, Box #2, and others.

 

Stamps:  Matchbox Messages

Ink:  Basic Gray

Cardstock:  Basic Gray, Shimmer White

Accessories:  1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Walk in the Park Designer Series Papers (on sale tomorrow!), White Satin Ribbon, Thick Window Sheets, Matchbox XL die

The third item from the Occasions Mini Catalog that we worked with are the Printed Window Sheets.  These are so cool!  They are 8 1/2 x 11, images printed in white and designed to be cut into quarters and used on card fronts.  Of course there are many other uses, too!

 

Stamps:  Really Retro (left card only)

Inks:  White Staz-On (left card only)

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Sage Shadow, Old Olive, Yo-Yo Yellow

Accessories:  Button Latte buttons, Boho Blossoms punch, 1 1/4" square punch, Mini glue Dots, Sage Shadow or Old Olive grosgrain

Crystal Effects is one of my favorite embellishments because it's such a cool accent for very little money, easy to use, looks wet when dry, and is an incredible adhesive!  We covered the glass area with Crystal Effects.  Looks so neat in person!

 

Stamps:  Cheers to You

Inks:  Riding Hood Red, Basic Black

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie

Accessories:  Old Olive marker, Blender Pen, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crystal Effects, Washington Apple Designer Series Papers (on sale tomorrow!)

Finally, we used Stampin' Up's clear buttons as an embellishment.  They work great alone or backed with paper like we did here.

 

Stamps:  Really Retro

Ink:  Basic Black

Cardstock:  Kiwi Kiss, Taken with Teal, Basic Black

Accessories:  Clear Button, Pretties Kit, Black brads, Rose Red double-stitched grosgrain ribbon, 1" circle punch, Scallop Edge Circle Punch, Raspberry Tart Designer Series papers (hey - did I tell you that this was going on sale tomorrow? LOL)

Birthday Stamp A Stack

Saturday was a fun day of stamping!  The gals made the following cards at my Birthday Stamp A Stack class.  There are 2 feminine designs, 2 masculine designs and 2 kid-friendly designs.

You've seen this one before.  It was Diana's swap.  I just changed the tag so it would fit our birthday theme. 

 

Fun redesign of a card that I did at the ERC Benefit Crop & Shop.  I love the white and gray!  I think if you masked the "happy birthday" script this would be an elegant wedding or anniversary card.

 

I was happy to use my new Totally Tool stamp set.  Great images for male birthdays, Father's Day and other events.  There's even a little hardware on this card with the jumbo eyelet! 

 

Our second masculine card used the Cheers to You stamp set.  Who doesn't know a guy who likes to celebrate with a cold beer?  :-)  I love this set because it has images that work for men and women and the "cheers to you" greeting works for so many occasions.

This kid card uses the cupcake image from the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set and tons of fun papers from the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Series Papers (on sale May 1st!)

Finally, one of my favs, Sock Monkey.  :-)  I think he's great for the young and the young at heart!

Da Cherry Bomb!

So you know I love showing off what my BFF and downline Lisa does with her monthly classes... well, this one is simply fabulous!  I have named it "Da Cherry Bomb!"  :-)  She creates a 6x6 double page layout with her club girls and then shows them how to take that 6x6 and make it into a 12x12.

OMG... I can't believe what I received in my mail box yesterday!

I didn't check my mailbox until really late last night and what a shocker!  My upline - several lines up - Jill Olsen sent me an entire card and scrapbook kit for being in her top 30 for March.  I am so thrilled because all the cardstock, ribbons, etc are already cut and ready for me to assemble.  I can't wait to put the kit together and take pictures.  

Just had to share my excitement with you all today!  Thanks for checking in and I'll post my class photos soon.  :-)

Get Your May Baskets Ready!

This flower pot was definitely a fun project to create and would make a perfect May Day surprise for a coworker, teacher or friend.  Or if you are planning ahead, it would also make a very sweet Mother's Day gift.  :-)

The pot is actually an open box that you can fill with goodies - wish I would have taken a picture from the side.  This will be one of my Big Shot projects for this month, so I'll take some more pictures and post after class.

Petal Card Heart from Jill

Remember my tease about a week ago that I was going to show the gift that my up-up-upline sent me for being in her Top 30?  Here it finally is:

 

She used the Parisian Breeze Designer Series Papers and several Big Shot dies:  Petal Card (makes the heart basket), Simple Flower Embosslit, and Scribbles Sizzlit die.   She also used several punches:  Curly Label Punch Bundle, Small Oval, Large Oval, and Crop-0-Dile.

Best Wishes Notecards and Holder

For those of you who buy craft kits and never finish them... here's hope for you!  I received this kit at Stampin' Up Regionals last fall!  I finally put it together and look how cute it is!  I totally love this set - which we received free at Regionals - called Best Wishes and More.  I've used it several times, and it is a great "go-to" stamp set. 

Here is a picture of the front of the cardholder.  See what I mean... CUTE!

The cards and envelopes are from the #11336 Scallop Notes II set.  You get 30 pre-cut, pre-scored cards complete with scallop edge and envelopes for $11.95.  I added a bit of Baja Breeze Designer Series Paper to the line the envelopes.  Very elegant touch, don't ya think!

Lucky Duck!

Here's a cutey card for just about any occasion.  I made it at Suzie and Caley's workshop a few weeks back and have made several more but with different images from the same stamp set.  You can make a really cute card collection and nice gift with this set.
