Scallop Circle Swap Card

Camp Cupcake was a hit yesterday!  :)  I am uploading and working on pictures for tomorrow.  In the meantime I wanted to share my swap.  We always have a demonstrator/customer swap at our stamp camp events.  The favorite swap even wins a prize!  Here's my card (not a prize winner but I love it!)

I love this cherry paper from the Rockabilly Designer Series Paper pack!  All our papers are double-sided so you get twice the images to work with.  The purse is made with the reverse side of the cherry pattern.  If you love this paper, too, then you'll want to stock up because it's only available through June 30th!  All In Colors are also retiring - Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red were used on this card.

12x12 Mini Scrapbook Album

Different Look for Baskets & Blooms die cut

Here's a new take on the Basket & Blooms XL die cut.  If you use it as it was designed, you create a cute little basket like this:

If you trim off the extra flap on the "basket sides" and add an extra piece between them you can make a long basket like this:

The piece in the middle measures 6"x7" and was scored 2" on each of the 4 sides.  Cut flaps on the two long sides and you'll create the bottom and sides of the basket.

Must-Haves from Occasions Mini Catalog

These are my top 3 picks from the Occasions Mini Catalog that ends June 1st!  Do you own them yet?

#1 is the Scallop Oval Punch.  I love punches because they always work with products you already own.

#2 Oval All stamp set creates the perfect embellishment for a card.  And it's designed to work with the Scallop Oval Punch and Large Oval Punch, and who can resist coordinating products????

#3 Walk in the Park Designer Series Papers gets my 3rd pick.  (If everyone owned the Big Shot, then I would have said the Matchbox Die-Cut, but I went with something that everyone can use.)  It's so fresh and fun to use.  I love the graphic design mixed with floral images.

Other great picks are the Window Sheets - all of them - because I've been having a lot of fun creating with those products, New Satin Ribbon, and the Grommets.  Yes - I am all about accessories!  But stamps still are the foundation, and this mini catalog doesn't disappoint on variety of images and styles of stamps. 

Faux Crocodile Wristlet

Can you handle one more incredibly awesome Big Shot project?  Again, deceptively simple construction but big on the WOW factor!

 

I started with solid Tangerine Tango cardstock.  Covered the cardstock completely with Versamark and then Clear Embossing Powder.  Then before heating with the heal tool, I used my stylus to draw intersecting wavy lines.  Tap off the excess powder and heat.  The cardstock is very glossy and feels so thick and luxurious.

From the side view it's easier to see that I used a Box #2 XL die cut and cut of the top tabs.  Then I cut out 3 top note die cuts.  I trimmed two of them so they had long flat edges and then folded the 3rd one in half to use as the flap.  Sticky Strip is a must for this project!

 

Adding the jumbo white grommet to the front flap is so easy - just poke the prongs through the cardstock and then press them down on the backside of your cardstock with a bone folder.  I then added a velcro circle to keep it closed.  A jumbo eyelet on the side and a coordinating white loop of ribbon complete the purse. 

These are so fun, easy and CHEAP to make!  You really can have one for every occasion.  :-)

Matchbox Dresser

Hold on to your socks... this is cool!

I've seen so many cool variations of these 'dressers" made into jewelry boxes, Christmas advent calendars, tall chest of drawers, etc. 

Since Father's Day is coming, I wanted to leave mine just a little manly so kept it simple with the drawer knobs.  This project is deceptively simple.  You just follow the directions on your Matchbox die cut and make 3 to stack.  Sticky strip the lids together and then add a 3" wide strip of cardstock on the outside.  I didn't cover the bottom or backside of my dresser.

Greatest Summer Stamp Set Ever!

Are you the outdoorsy type?  If so, you'll love the stamp set, Under the Stars!  It has the cutest little critters and whimsical images.  Check out this cute card:

 

There's a really cute mosquito (who thought mosquitos could be cute??) and a matching Skeeter wheel.  You can find them both on page 103 of the Idea Book & Catalog.  There's one more fun set on that page called Hit the Road - if you like Under the Stars, then you'll like this one, too.  The crazy dog driving makes me smile everytime I see him.
