I'm finally getting around to showing you the cards we made for December's Techniques Club. :) I am so in love with the first card. I call it Bridesmaid Resist.
The background paper is the Bridesmaid Speciality Paper. It's an embossed and foiled vanilla cardstock - very beautiful just on its own. There were several samples using this pack in the wedding invitation swaps I posted just a few days ago.
So we changed the color by using the Brayer and Ballet Blue Classic Ink. The foiled swirls of the cardstock resist the ink and the effect is just gorgeous. There is also the Bride Papers are Whisper White, and either works with this quick and easy technique.
Our other technique is a twist on one of the first techniques I learned... almost 6 years ago... Poppin' Pastels. To achieve Poppin' Pastels you stamp your image in Versamark and then pounce Stampin' Pastels over it using a Sponge Dauber. The twist we did was called Chalkboard. Instead of Versamark, you use Whisper White Craft Ink on Basic Black cardstock.
New clubs are forming in 2010. If you'd like a monthly girls night out of stamping, you should consider joining my scrapbook or techniques clubs. Your friends are welcome! :)

Oh...that's it! I've tried poppin my pastels on dark c/s w/ Versamark and it never worked. The secret is white Craft ink - TFS!
