Quilted Purse Class

I held my first sewing class, and it was so much fun!  :)  Here are the pretty purses that the ladies made.

OMG... Look what I received in the mail today!

I absolutely love the surprises that my upline, Jill Olsen, sends me in the mail each month.  She recognizes the top 30 in her downline every month with something special.  This month is INCREDIBLE!  I actually screamed when I opened it.

The card is gorgeous just on its own.  She used the Elements of Style stamp set and the new Presto Patterns paper.

And then a coordinating Match Box (created with the Big Shot Matchbox XL die.)  It rattled when I opened it, so I was thinking it could be buttons...

But then I slid the top cover off, and that's when I screamed...

It's a necklace and charm from Stampin' Up's Simply Adorned jewelry line.  Jill stamped on a piece of acetate window with White Staz-On, so you see the same image from the front and back.  It is soooo pretty in person!  I put it on and wore it the rest of the day and received so many compliments!

Alaskan Cruise!

It just dawned on me that I don't think I shared my BIG news with my blog readers... I earned the Stampin' Up Cruise to Alaska. 

I am taking my daughter with me, and it's her first cruise.  Here's my sweet girl and me.  :)

I am hoping my 16 year old will be able to go but I'm not sure he can do it because of finals that week.  It would probably be better this year than next... if I earn it again... because he'll be a senior then.  So let's include a picture of Trey just in case he gets to go, too.  :)

Thank you to everyone who helped me earn the cruise this year:  customers, hostesses, downline!  I couldn't do it without you!  :)  And I have fun doing it all year long!

Pedaling Past

I just ordered this stamp set.  I thought these samples were to die for and my BFF Lisa convinced me that I needed it.  :)

I can't wait to make this last card!  I think it is a darling baby girl card, and I have a new niece on the way.  Congrats to Laura and Paul!  I can't wait to meet Baby Sophia!  :)

As we are nearing the end of the Stampin' Up year, there are certain products that will no longer be available.  If you click on the link to the left you will find the retiring colors.  Most of these items will be available through June 30th, but some have already sold out.

Love the Lattice Die-Cut!

I don't know why I held off for a few months before purchasing the Lattice Bigz Die to go with my Big Shot because it is a must-have accessory!  I've seen so many great ideas... including napkin holders, jewelry and more.  Crazy cool stuff.  I just haven't had time to copy it all.  :)

Add extra bling with the 2 way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds!

Pearls and Trio Flower Punch add detail at the center of each Lattice "square."

The Lattice die looks awesome layered over Designer Series Papers, too.

More Fabric Pins

My two "nieces" graduated from high school this week, so I made them both fabric flower pins.  They loved the purses and didn't realize until I told there was more inside.  They have seen me making things at holiday times and such, so they knew right away that I made their gifts.  Sweet girls... they thought I made the purses, too!  :)  I almost didn't want to tell them that the purses came from Target.

Orange & Yellow Fabric Flower Pins

Another round of flowers but these ones are very summer-y!  Orange and yellow are two of my favorite colors.  My 10 year old daughter loves them, too.  :)

Notice the orange inside the pockets?  I love that touch!

These flowers look best with mix-matchy patterns.  :)

A shirt for Olivia.  There's actually a yellow-stitch detail around the collar and cuff of this shirt.

I think I prefer the red button, but this one looks good, too.

You need the Big Shot and Flower Folds XL die to make these flowers.  They are so easy and quick to make.  I plan to make a couple more tomorrow to adorn graduation gifts for my nieces.  :)
