Fabric, Fabric... Everywhere!!

If you have a copy of Stampin' Up's Holiday Mini Catalog, then you know that we are now offering a new and exciting product... FABRIC!  We have two fabric sets that coordinate with our colors, designer series papers and other accessories.  Although it can be found in the Christmas section, they are not necessarily Christmas fabrics and have no Christmas images on them. 

The fabric sheets are actually larger than a "fat quarter."  If you are not a quilter, then you may not understand that term.  If you don't, don't even worry about it.  :)  But for you quilters...

OMG... the cuteness!!!  No, I do not have a pattern for the fabric bears or their dresses.  If you find one, please post it here.  Because I would love to make these bears for Christmas gifts!

How beautiful is this skirt?   Shelli's daughter wore one at Convention this year that was actually a drawstring Christmas Tree skirt!  It was absolutely darling.

Monthly Techniques Card Class & Club

My technique junkies meet  on the 1st Monday of every month to learn two new techniques and make 2 cards.  Here's what we made in September:

I had several different versions of this web card - this one is my favorite with the Moonlight Pearlized Ink. 

And then I also had a version with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  I have a sponge dauber dedicated for each of my paints that I just store with it.  Saves me time!

Then I did a third version with the Illumination Pearlized Ink - it is very subtle and I don't have a picture.  It was my least favorite because I really like the "whiteness" on the spider web.  :)

My second technique card is called Crimped Diamond, and you create it with the... Crimper Tool!  Mine had a little dust on it, but I have to admit it's an old favorite.

I used the new Glimmer Brads from the Holiday Mini - love them!  And there's no stamping on this card front.  Just the 4-pack cupcake sizzlet and some Chunky Clear Glitter.  I thought it was the perfect touch because it actually looks like the cake sugar sprinkles!

We had to stamp a greeting on the inside and then embellish the envelope.  I love this hostess set... the envelope says "if you are what you eat, eat something cute!"

I need to take a break from Founder's Circle pictures - don't worryI have lots more! - to catch up on some of my club and class pictures.  For those of you with kits waiting for the pictures to go with your projects, I apologize for the delay!  :)

Today's share is from my Scrapbook Club that meets once a month on the 1st Sunday of the month at my house.  Each month the gals re-create a two page layout featuring Stampin' Up's exclusive stamps and accessories.  Here's what we made in September:

Why I gained 50 pounds at Founder's Circle!

My foodie friends will love this post... it was a crazy 4 days of indulgence!  There was absolutely no diet this trip.  :)

Day 1 arrival and we had a great sandwich buffet ready for us along with a whole table of desserts.  Then I walked into the gathering place and found this:

no picture but there was also homemade toffee that was to die for!

 

Welcome dinner... still Day 1:

oh boy... I knew I was going to be in trouble!

Day 2:

Lunch at Kanab Park... do you see the size of that bread pudding!  So good!

Back at the hotel were fresh cookies!

Just look at the size of this chocolate chip cookie!  (horrible photo of me but I wanted you to see how big that cookie was.)

One of the Stampin' Up designers is also a chocolatier, so we had a different speciality chocolate each day waiting for us.

Here's the rest of the Sweet Shoppe that was open everyday... complete with little sacks to fill up and take back to our rooms.  A candy lovers heaven...

Aren't they cute in their old time soda fountain outfits???  Thank you ladies - it was a great retreat from my low-carb diet back home.  :)

Day 4 of Founder's Circle

Well, I arrived home late last night.  Flight was delayed so I was too tired to blog about my final fun day in St. George.  Here are the highlights:

 

Remember the bowling shirt??  Well, how fun is this:

That's my bowling team.  However we aren't a bowling alley.  We are at a convention center playing Wii.  I loved it because I can bowl so much better on Wii than I can in real life.  The table decor was so cute, too!

The mini Cokes were so fun.  I wish I would have had a way to get them home safely.  I don't drink Coke, but my kids would have drank them immediately and then washed and saved the bottles in their rooms.  LOL

We are very serious about our bowling!  We also had to come up with a team cheer for the Mat Packs.  Thank goodness we weren't video taped.  There are no pictures either... at least that's my story!

Did you notice that I missed being the top score for our team by 1 measley point?  Darn that Jackie Ross!  :)

The whole crew again - it was really a fun day!  And when we returned to our hotel room, we found this:

This pretty sweater was trimmed in our Early Expresso 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain and Chantilly Lace ribbons.  So pretty in person!  Thank you Stampin' Up for all our great pillow gifts.  :)

 

Then that night a big group of us went to Tuacahn to see a musical, Crazy for You.  Incredible singing and dancing... and even a couple of bats flying around.  Yes, bats!  Tuacahn is an outdoor theatre in the mountains, and it is stunning!  But you do get an occasional visitor from nature who wants to see the show.  :)

They won't let you take pictures inside the theatre, so Joanna and I took one picture outside and one at the cut out boards.  Silly and fun!
