Got Green? Scrapbook Layout

I designed this page... YES, this is an actual scrapbook layout created by Shelly May... *gasp*!  I like to call myself the copy queen but every once in awhile, I craft up something on my own.

This is the layout I shared with my Tonganoxie Scrapbook Club gals:

My title is my tried-and-true MOP method.  This means it is Messy on Purpose!  :)  For me, it takes the stress out of trying to perfectly space my letters.  I cut Simple Alpha letters with my Big Shot in two colors - Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizazz.  Layering two colors really adds to the depth of your page.  It's the little things!

Stampin' Up doesn't have a shamrock punch, so I improvised with my heart punches.  I punched four each of two sizes and then sponged the edges.  Everything looks better with a little bit of sponging, don't ya think?

 

My color combo for my green page is Garden Green, Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizazz.  Hope you enjoyed it!  :)

Nature's Walk

Another great thing about Stampin' Up events... free stamps!  Our featured set for Branson was Nature's Walk, and our make and takes were awesome.  Here's the only one I have finished... hehe... I do a lot more talking than stamping at these events but I still have FUN!

Isn't this adorable!  I have to admit its the first time I've used the Vanilla Rosettes.  I have them... I have just been hoarding them!

I'll be finishing the other samples and sharing them soon.  You are going to swoon!  :)  Until then, here are some pretty display samples from the day.

I have been wanting this set but forcing myself to wait since I would be getting it in Branson.  So glad to have it and ready to use it! 

Sneaky Peek!

Color me excited... Branson Regional attendees received a bonus for recruiting a new demonstrator to their team.  I'm happy to announce that Kelly Deters of Tecumseh, Kansas, earned this set for me AND for herself!  When I returned from Regionals, I received the notification that she was official.  :)

The Sunny Day stamp set will be available in the Summer Mini Catalog that debuts May 1st.

Branson Regionals and Lamberts

I had a great time last weekend roadtripping to Branson, MO, for Stampin' Up Regionals.  Thank you to my travelling mates:  Yvonne, Mary Jo and Shermala!  We had a blast together, and they were troopers helping me with my wheelchair and luggage.  :) 

All the tables were taken, so unfortunately we didn't get to sit together.  Here's Shermala and Yvonne. 

And then Mary Jo and I sat together at a nearby table.  Mary Jo won a door prize - woo hoo!!!  It's the Build a Blossom stamp set - love it!

Paula stopped by our table to say hello!  She came with Diana and Roberta and were sitting very close to us.  They are also Kansas City chicks!

After Regionals we drove to Lamberts II in Ozark, MO, for dinner.  OMG... so yummy!  We all ordered the chicken fried steak.  Seriously, one of the best I have ever had.

Now that is one crazy, big chicken fried steak.

We barely touched our steaks because of the signature "throwed" rolls and 'ole Norm's goodies.  The goodies are additional sides that staff walk around with and just dish out.  Hands down our favorite of Norm's goodies were the fried potatoes and onions.  My mouth is watering for more right now!  I can't wait to take my husband and kids there.

As soon as we sat down the staff starting throwing rolls at us.  They were fresh from the oven and oh-so good!!!

February Stamp a Stack

We made all occasion cards at my stamp a stack this month.  At each of my stamp of stack classes we make 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs) with matching envelopes.

You may recognize this Bliss card - it's been my "go-to" card.  Everyone raves about it!

A fun birthday card... great for any age or gender.

A "for you" for anytime.  Love those Sweet Stitches and buttons!

I can never have too many thank you cards... a definite must in your ready to use stash of cards.

So I tweaked it for St. Patrick's Day.  I seem to collect a lot of black, white, and gray clothing but not a lot of green.  So I need something like  pin to wear so I don't get pinched!  :)

So here is my Saint Paddy's day version:

Here's a side view.  You can see how fluffy and pretty it is.  (big smile)  The color scheme is Garden Green, Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizazz.  The ribbons are the Victoria Crochet Trim and Pear Pizazz Striped Ribbon.  Do you see the rhinestone and pearl gems?  Love that touch of bling!

The shamrock image is from the Got Treats stamp set.  Punch sizes are 1 3/4" Circle Punch and 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

Surprise... I was wearing black today... but you can see the size of the pin and how it looks on.  I am so happy with how it turned out!

A New Quilt by Amy Johnson

Beveled Window Panes
