Stampin' Up corporate offices are in Riverton... about a 40 minute drive from where we were in Salt Lake City. Cindy, Lisa and I all boarded the Stampin' Up bus to take a tour of their gorgeous facilities. We went on Friday night, and met about 10 staff who stayed late just for us. They were all so gracious and happy to talk about what their jobs. Most of the staff that I met had been with Stampin' Up for multiple years. I can imagine they don't have very high turnover with such a healthy and positive work environment. :)
This is what you first see when you walk in the front doors. The banners mimic the theme and decor of our convention. I can't believe I didn't take a picture of the building with the mountains in the background. Simply breathtaking!
Cindy, me and Lisa in front of the waterfall in the staff break/lunch room. How amazing is this! There's also an outside courtyard area with plants and arboretum.
The "pick line." This is where the employees "pick" orders and ship them out. I asked one of the staff what was the most popular item right now, and she said it's all about organization. The Clear Block Storage case and Big Shot die boxes and inserts are flying off the shelves. Do you have yours yet?
Lisa and Cindy taking pictures... they had no idea I snapped this one of them. Hehe...
A mail room tucked away down a hall was even adorned with one of Decor Elements. What a special touch... you know it really is the little things that make a great workplace GREAT!
Lisa posing by the Statement of the Heart in the foyer of the Legacy Rooms. The Legacy Rooms tell the Stampin' Up story and feature rooms designed by Shelli Gardner and her daughters. They work on these rooms in secret and no one gets to see them until the big reveal. They finished on Monday the week of the convention, so that week was the first time anyone had seen the rooms. Here's a peak:
Aren't those displays simply stunning... I feel so inspired to create something for my home!
A visit to the home office is not complete without a photo by the large rocks at the entrance. You can see the mountains in the background here. Not sure what Lisa is doing... probably telling me how beautiful it is there. :) Hope you enjoyed the tour!
