hi! found your blog through SC, and i'm a sewing novice--no machine, but have my BS--and my club wants to do a project with the springtime vintage fabric. i think they'd like the fabric barrette idea. can you give me some tips?

My tip is to use a hot glue gun if you don't sew. So many of those adorable flower pins/brooches can be done with no sewing at all.

Flowers can be created with ALL of our flower dies, scallop circles and plain circles. By far the easiest is the circles. Just cut out several different circles in your different fabrics. Layer the circles, poke a hole with your paper piercer, insert a brad and VOILA! Your club gals all have sweet posies! Attach a hair clip or brooch pin to the back with hot glue. :)
